She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Feiertag and Helen Feiertag (Schnabel); and her brother Wayne Feiertag. She is survived by: her husband Donald S. Ackerman; her children, Kenneth P. Ruddell and Cathy Ruddell Orendach; her sisters, Phyllis Stoudt, Christine Davis and Janice Schaller; and her grandson Joshua Orendach.
