She was predeceased by: her parents, Marian Stager Spieker and Rev. Paul F. Spieker; her great-grandparent Rev. George Frederick Spieker; and her brother Rev. George F. Spieker. She is survived by: her husband Walter Charles Updegrave; her children, Lynn Gibson, Carol Updegrave (Jose Ferreyros) and Craig Updegrave; and her grandchildren, Miles, Graham, Austin, Enrique, Pepe, Carolina and Lila. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
