He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Schmidt and Marybelle Little Schmidt; and his siblings, Mary Jane Tauber and Rev. David Schmidt. He is survived by: his children, Don Schmidt, Dana Schmidt of Gibsonia and Darcie Schmidt of Gibsonia; his siblings, Rev. Carl Schmidt (Jan) of Tyrone, Colleen Schmidt Morgan of McKeesport and Harold "Herky" Dovey of South Hills; his close friend Ethel Eckelberger of Emlenton; and also Bill. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
