She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Eakman and Mina Eakman; her husband R. Burdette Karnes; her son Clark Karnes; her daughter-in-law Gina Karnes; and her siblings, Donna, Bill and Bob.

She is survived by: her children, Pam Smith (Larry) of Emlenton and Jeffrey A. Karnes (Jackie Jones) of Emlenton; her stepson Kevin Brown (Lori) of Huey; her grandchildren, Jeb Karns (Tonya), Teri Karnes (Chris Jack), Nicholas Smith (Mindy) and Shane Smith Malinda Myers (Tasha Simmons); her great grandchildren, Hayden, Lillian Smith, Abigail Myers, Audrianna and Gabriel Jack; her brother Sam Eakman (Rosie) of Harrisville; and her sister-in-law Mary Eakman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
