With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Homer Dean Merwin (Emlenton, Pennsylvania), born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on January 12, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Merwin and Lida Lepley Merwin; his wife Pauline Marshall Merwin; his siblings, Wayne, John Merwin and Wilda Steele; and his great grandchild Rose.
He is survived by: his children, Fred Knappenberger (Chantel) of Saxonburg, Diane Whitehill (Dave) of Emlenton and Richard Merwin of Parker; his grandchildren, Timothy Knappenberger (Lisa) of Sarver, Danielle Ball (Darren) of Mars, Stacey Fox (Raymond) of Emlenton, Lida Jenkins (Bill) of Emlenton, Richard Merwin Jr. (Crystal) of Emlenton and Randy Merwin of Emlenton; his great grandchildren, Chloe, Lucy, Celia, Allie, Elizabeth, Gabby, Katie, Emma, Aidan, Evann, Maverick, Kaylie and Tanner; and his sisters-in-law, Gloria Merwin, Nancy Marshall and Judy Shoup (Ronald). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
