He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel P. Oglesby and Arena Lawrence Oglesby; and his siblings, Mary Jane Winkler, Hazel Weaver, Ellen Hornberg, Ruby Payne, Rev. George Oglesby and Larry Oglesby.
He is survived by: his children, Klaus J. Oglesby (Debbie) of Canyon Lake, TX, Linda L. Meyer (Leonard) of Ridgeland, SC, Donald B. Oglesby (Sandra) of Ellenville, NY and Carla Hughes (Michael) of Emlenton; his sister Anna L. Winkler of Emlenton; and his sister-in-law Germany. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
