He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Helfrick and Elizabeth Helfrick (Rosenberger); and his siblings, John Helfrick and Elizabeth Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie of Mount Carmel; his children, Mary Rose Diefenderfer of Custer, Washington, Kathy Whittington (Michael) of Reston, Virginia, Diane Cooper (Pete) of Key West, Florida, Edward Helfrick, Jr. (Ruthann) of Elysburg, Pennsylvania and Susan Helfrick (John Scelfo) of Longboat Key, Florida.; his grandchildren, Brendan, Brittany, Colin Whittington and Jonathan Helfrick; his sister Agnes Hunt of Asbury Park; and his sisters-in-law, Loretta Chicalo and Loraine Chicalo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
