He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earle Oakes and Marie Oakes (Schettina); his wife Nancy Kearney; his children, Kathleen M. England (Shelly), Kevin M. (Eileen), Nancy Hegarty, Colleen Pearson (Tom), Patrick, Timothy (Sally), Terrence (late Cathy), Joseph, John P. and Michael J; and his siblings, Andrew Oakes (Marcia), Jo Parker (Ron) and Rita Oakes. He was also cherished by 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Villa Maria Academy High School in his name would be appreciated.
