With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Phillips of Elmhurst, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 4, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilhelmina Josephs and Gordon Josephs; her husband Robert J. Phillips Sr.; and her son Dr. Carl Phillips. She is survived by: her sister Carol Josephs Fiorenza (Rich); her sons, Robert (Deborah Pargmann), Gary (Roseann Rooney Phillips) and James (Pamela Norris Phillips); and her daughter-in-law Robin Caulfield Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, Ruth has requested donations be made to St. Matthews United Evangelical Lutheran Church 425 Jefferson Ave Scranton, PA 18510. Donations are being accepted in memory of Ruth.
