He was predeceased by: his mother Edith Pounds Sr. (Duncan); his son John A. Pounds; his stepson Dylan Haley; his brothers, Ralph L. Pounds II and Andrew M. Pounds II; his nephews, Ralph L. Pounds III and Franklin Pounds; and his great-niece Brielle Pounds.

He is survived by: his father Ralph L. Pounds; his wife Bernadette Pounds (Peluso); his daughter Rinay Pounds; his sister Irona Carr; and his grandson Dakota Olinger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
