He was predeceased by: his former wives, Marion and Vera; his brothers, George and Jim; and his grandson Paul.
He is survived by: his parents, Dana Sammons and Jean Sammons (Watson); his children, Susan Sammons Meeker (Michael Garner), John Sammons (Terry), Marilyn Morphis (Henry), David Sammons (Bonnie) and Horse Cave; his siblings, Fred Sammons (Barbara) and Rosalyn Kummer (Lee); his sisters-in-law, Olive Sammons and Ann Sammons Stewart; and also Wattsburg. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
