With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna McGarvey (Elliottsburg, Pennsylvania), born in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 3, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyman Nester and Helen Nester (Brandt); her husband John E. "Jack" McGarvey; and her siblings, Marlin E. Nester and Ethel R. Shultz.
She is survived by: her children, William M. McGarvey and Laura L. Miller (McGarvey); her siblings, Vilma D. Coken and Francis M. Nester; and her grandchildren, Aleah McGarvey and Logan Miller. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In her memory, contributions may be made to any charity dedicated to children.
