He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis A. Schoonover and Anna Laura Prentice Schoonover; his wife Peggy Lou Stiles; his siblings, Rose Schoonover Parker, Ruth Resue and Robert Andrew Schoonover; and his siblings-in-law, June M. Owen and Robert R. Stiles.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Brelo (David) of Westfield, Kenneth Schoonover, Sr. (Sherry) of Westfield and Dale Schoonover, Sr. (Debbie); and his sister-in-law Ramona Crippen of Westfield. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
