He was predeceased by: his parents, Max B. Thompson and Alice Mae Thompson (Freeman); his grandson Steven Thompson, Jr.; his sister Diane Jackson; and his niece Deb Martinez.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve Thompson Sr. (Patricia) and Jerry Thompson; his grandchildren, Bryant, Roz, Alicia, Shawna, Riley Thompson, Anthony English (Heather), Tricia Plank (Jerry), Jaime English and Mark Britt (Racheal); his siblings, Nancy Short (Dick), Phil Thompson, Sharon Fish (Jim), Mazie Heffner, Polly Oberther, Jeff Thompson (Peg), Valerie Troxel and Teresa Caffo (Jay); and his close friend Elsie Breitwise. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
