He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lauer and Marie McKelvey Lauer; his son John Lauer; and his brother Jack Lauer. He is survived by: his children, Robert E., Jr. (Jackie Lauer) of Narvon, Michael P. (Wendy Lauer) of Honey Brook, Bonnie L. Weaver (Kevin Martenson) of Manchester, Denise Hash of West Virginia and Theresa Pennington of Lancaster; and his brothers, Francis Lauer of Kimberton and Dennis (Victoria Lauer) of Mechanicsburg. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren.
