He is survived by: his children, Michael W. Bittle of Nashville, TN and Lee Ann Szuhoza (David) of Carroll Township; his sisters, Mary Moore of Chesapeake, VA. and Mildred Lee Edwards of Suffolk, VA.; his brother-in-law Paul Edwards of Suffolk, VA.; and his pets, Retta and Stella. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
