He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Florence Nelson (Wallace); and his siblings, Glenn Nelson and Louise Akerberg. He is survived by: his friend John Laska; his wife Geraldine Nelson (Papp); his daughter Christian (Michelle Sowerby); his granddaughter Amanda Sowerby; his great grandchildren, Eric Randall and Zachary Wayne; his sister Norma Nelson of Chicago, IL; and his pet Chelsey.
