He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Charles "R. C." and Anna Mae Walter (Rainey); his wife Dorothy Mae Walter (Greenewald); and his brother Ralph C. Walter, Jr. (Baby Walter). He is survived by: his children, R. Paul Walter (Lorrie) of Liberty Borough, Thomas C. Walter (Deborah) of Elizabeth Township, Diane Celidonia (Ed) of Glenshaw and Jeanne Hutchison (John) of Jefferson Hills; and his grandchildren, Patrick Walter of Florida, Jeremiah Walter of Florida, Mathew Walter of Elizabeth Township, Meredith Kilgore (Connor) of Charleston, NC, Jennifer Ranalli of Indiana, Julia Schillo (Erik) of Upper St and Jessica Dahm (Joe) of Finleyville. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (6028 Smithfield St, McKeesport, PA 15135). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
