Marlene Rae Durant Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marlene Rae Durant of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Buehner and Hannah Buehner (McKnight); her husband Louis Durant; and her siblings, Ernestine Doby (Andy), William Buehner (Shirley), Mary Bittner (August) and Patrick Buehner (Doris).
She is survived by: her children, LuAnn Kral (Dennis) of Penn Township, Deborah Mullen (Raymond) of White Oak and Timothy Durant (Donna) of Elizabeth Township; and her grandchildren, Lauren Cunningham (Kevin), Casey Mullen (Christian), Nicholas Kral (Sarah), Ashley Cannon (Grant), Samuel Durant (Kara), Hannah O'Toole (Burke), Benjamin Durant and Emma Durant. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory (6028 Smithfield St, McKeesport, PA 15135). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Central Highland Community United Methodist Church (100 Timothy Dr, Elizabeth, PA 15037). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at the Round Hill Cemetery (2131 Round Hill Church Rd, Elizabeth, PA 15037).
In leiu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church.
