She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Scholl and Nellie Scholl (McClure); and her son Robert M. Smith. She is survived by: her husband Milton L. Smith; her children, Rebecca O'Hara of Elizabeth Township, Elizabeth Ellen "Betsy" Puharic (Joseph Krieger) of Jamestown and Brian L. Smith (Michele) of Elizabeth Township; her brother David Scholl (Dolly) of Mechanicsburg; her grandchildren, Sarah Beth Puharic, Sgt. Joseph Charles Puharic, Brandon O'Hara, Kate O'Hara Gregory (Matt), Tyler Smith, Alexander Brian Smith, Evan Lewis Smith, Kelly Fells and Keith O'Hara; her great grandchildren, Alexandra Whitaker, Noah Whitaker, Branden Younkin, Catriona Smith and Isabel Puharic; and her daughter-in-law Mary Elizabeth Smith of Fort Mill, SC.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
