He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cernicky and Amelia Cernicky (Tekely); his granddaughter Hallie Cernicky; and his siblings, Joseph, Melvin, Edward, David, Sal Cernicky, Amelia Cernicky and Clara Slomainy.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Cernicky (Kengor); his children, Gary Cernicky (Liz), Andrew J. Cernicky (Stacey), Lawrence E. Cernicky (Dyana) and Laura Fields (David); and his grandchildren, Christopher, Kyle, Andrew W., Caitlin, Nicholas, Ashley, Ryan, Ethan, Abigail, Ava, Alaina and Amanda.
