He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Pennell Sr. and Zenona C. "Nonie" Pennell (McKown); his son Marc McLellan; and his sisters, Geraldine Brown and Elizabeth "Betty Kay" Pennell.
He is survived by: his significant other Sharon McLellan; his children, Stormy Gower (Shawn Torrance) of Perryopolis, Dusty Gaydos (Abie Hardin) of Elizabeth, Eric McLellan (Sam) of Glassport and Kelland McLellan of McKeesport; his siblings, Julie Kallok (Mark) of Donora, Bobbi Lucot (Vincent) of Glassport, Daniel Pennell (Jeanie) of Perryopolis, James Pennell of Culpepper, VA, Thomas Pennell (Liz) of Elizabeth Twp, Donald Pennell (Eileen) of Elizabeth Twp, Robert Pennell Jr. (Deborah) of Dunbar and William Pennell (Tina) of Lincoln Borough; his uncle Ronald McKown of Elizabeth; and his granddaughter Emmaline Claire Gower. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
