She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred A. Shaffer and Clara B. Shaffer (Abels); her husband Joe B. "Red" Newlin; her sister Leona Shaffer Holmes; her stepsons, David and Curtis Moyle; her niece Mary Lynne Hurley; and her nephew Terry Holmes.
She is survived by: her siblings, Wilfred Shaffer (Bud) and Kathryn M. Bittinger; her stepdaughters-in-law, Judy Moyle of Slidell, LA and Charlene Moyle of Pittsburgh; and her stepgrandchildren, Deborah Ringo, Jeffrey Moyle, Darla Naze, Diane Wells, Christa Akhrass, Caryn McKenna and Charles Moyle. She is also survived by 21 step-great-grandchildren and 9 great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church at 2200 Buena Vista Road, McKeesport, PA 15135.
