He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Jean" Ponitz; his children, Mary Beth Ponitz, Karen Brendlinger and James Ponitz; his siblings, Loretta Szuba and Edward Ponitz (Joanne); his sister-in-law Norman Arendas; his friends, Frank Cone, Eddie Remicz and Fighting Irish; and also, Sylvia Arendas, Bailey and Jameson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and close friends.
