She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert D. Sharpless and Pearl Sharpless (Paugh); her husband James Edwin Hindman; and her daughter Cheryl Ann Leightley. She is survived by: her daughter Janice E. Lieberum; her grandson Derek Lieberum of Elizabeth Township; her son-in-law Larry Leightley of Decatur, AL; and her siblings, Minnie Nelson of Deer Park, MD., Carl C. Sharpless of Gum Spring, VA. and Ray R. Sharpless of Swanton, MD.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
