It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary D. Corey of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Heather Corey; his children, Danielle Sheaffer (Samuel), Ashley Urlakis (Brock), Joshua Corey (Madison Kapisak), Bryan Olenik (Tracey) and Sherie Gill (Andrew); his grandchildren, Georgia, Huck, Eloise and Camilla; and his siblings, John Corey (Nancy), Connie Czachowski (Chet), Dan Corey (Cindy) and Sheila Markel (William).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home (6028 Smithfield St, McKeesport, PA 15135). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. Whether it was taking pictures on the beat for a local newspaper, catching shoplifters as an undercover security officer, or testing the air quality in hospital rooms during the Covid pandemic.
