He was predeceased by: his grandson Zackary Gutierrez; and his sister Amparo "Amy" Pini. He is survived by: his wife Judy Gutierrez (Sanford); his son Eugene Gutierrez, Jr. (Julianna); and his grandchildren, Hannah, Haley and Joshua.

Due to the COVID 19 restrictions, a viewing and burial will be held privately with his family.
