It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine M. Helsel of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent "Rip" Ryan and Margaret "Peg" Ryan (Berquist); her husband Ronald E. Helsel; her brother Richard Ryan; her sisters-in-law, Lorraine Ryan and Marge Ryan; and her in-laws, Barbara and John Bender.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Ruhe (Thomas) of Forward Twp, Ronald M. Helsel (Denise) of Naples, FL, Maureen Young (Scott) of North Huntingdon and Tamara Pontia (Alan) of North Huntingdon; her grandchildren, Ryan (Christy), Jeffrey (Christine), Molly, Cameron (Gayle), Emily (John), Hayley (Ben) and Marshall; her great grandchildren, Bennett, Finnegan, Noah, Nolan, Sophia, Naomi and Hayden; her siblings, Thomas Ryan (Molly) of Ligonier, Jack Ryan of Ligonier and Sandy Ryan-Roberts (Mel) of Sacramento, CA; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Ryan of Mt. Vernon. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
