He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Kistler and Ruth Kistler (Piper); and his siblings, Richard, Dean Kistler and Evelyn Kistler-London.
He is survived by: his wife Millie; his children, Stephan Kistler (Laura) and Kathryn Kistler Jones (Daryl); his sisters, Ann Shigo and Jean Sucher; and his grandchildren, Sam and Susy. He is also survived by 24 nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (6028 Smithfield St, McKeesport, PA 15135). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
