He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Valentino Herbst; his children, Natalie Herbst and Jeffrey Herbst of Elizabeth; and his siblings, Kathleen Herbst of Pittsburgh, Louise Rosenfeld (Manny) of Wilmington, Christine Morrow (Scott) of Corydon, Margaret Wakefield (Thomas) of Aliquippa, Joseph Herbst (Anne) of Midlothian and James Herbst of Sewickley.
