He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Holmes and Martha Simpson Holmes; and his siblings, Robert E. Holmes, Jr., Duane Holmes and Linda Grabiak.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Lynn Holmes; his children, Andrew Holmes (Lauren) of Belleview, Guy Holmes (Christine) of Weirton and Sarah Gustine (Patrick) of Finleyville; his sister Denise Stollar (Gary) of Claysville; and his grandchildren, Atticus, Elodie, Mason, Turner, Elsie and Madeline. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
