He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Barna and Irene Catherine Buchton Barna; his grandsons, Connor Benjamin Barna and Spencer Roger Barna; and his brother Brian Andrew Barna.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Maria Kavic Barna; his sons, Samuel Adam Barna (Nicole) of West Mifflin, PA and Steven Barna (Jeana) of Ellwood City, PA; his grandson Nathaniel Brian Barna; his children, Sean Crawford (Nichole), Madison Marie Barna and Kaitlin Sadie Barna; his sister Candy Bowen (late William) of Belle Vernon, PA; his sister-in-law Patricia Kavic of West Mifflin, PA; and his aunt Margaret Wolf (Don) of North Versailles, PA.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, Inc. (1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
