He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Shafer and Ruth Shafer (Hulton); his wife Thelma Davis (Heath); and his siblings, Richard, William, Shirley Gates and Louise Crowl.
He is survived by: his son Robert Shafer, Jr. (Joyce) of Pulaski; his stepsons, David Davis (Rose) of Edinburg and Rodney Davis, Sr. (Julie) of Pulaski; his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Langford (Rick Kuhns) of Boardman, OH and Larry Heath (Mary) of The Villages, FL; his grandchildren, Kimberly, Jamie, Bobbie Jean, Dena, Rodney, Carrie and Todd; and also Larry Shafer of East Liverpool, OH. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Edinburg Christian Church (186 Clay St, Edinburg, PA 16116).
