She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Eugene Fyke and Irene Joyce Lamonde Fyke; her sister Candace Perseo; and her niece Shannon Marie Fyke. She is survived by: her husband Allen J. Simpson; her children, Donald Eckman (Sandra), Keith Eckman (Katina) and Jennifer Boyer; and her brother Melvin "Bud" Fyke Jr.. She is also survived by six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
