He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn Harned and Edna Harned; his children, Larry K. Harned, Jr. and Cynthia M. Passons; his siblings, Delores Doucette, Leslie, Lloyd, Arnold, Wilbur and Norman Harned; and his half-sister Beatrice Barney.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his brother Gerald; his sons, Gregory Harned (Rhonda) of Richfield, WI and Brian Harned (Margaret) of Williamsburg, VA; his grandchildren, Megan Powers (Kevin), James, Joshua Nazarovech, Matthew, Cathryn, Jacob, Rachel and Patrick Harned; his great grandchildren, Emrielle and Emmett; and his sister-in-law Gretchen Feiling. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
