He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence J. Makin and Charlotte Makin (Hughes); his wife Shirley L. Makin (Stark); his grandson Craig Sheehan; his brothers, Jack, Kendal and Clyde Makin; his children, Terry, Kathy Bailor, South Ebensburg, Janie (Jack Cheskey, Ebensburg), Pat Pileski of Ebensburg, Nancy (Mike McBreen, Emporium), Sherry Lynn (Doug Sheehan, Ebensburg) and Tim Makin of South Ebensburg; and his siblings, James C. Makin, Robert A. Makin (Ann) and Matilda Dickson of Greensburg. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
