He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Leroy and Mary Elizabeth Hemphill Sr. (Hill); and his stepsister Penelope Kirkwood of Anchorage, AK.. He is survived by: his children, Jie (Giaquetta) and Meyaka of Detroit, MI; and his siblings, Eileen, Lawrence (Gwendolyn) of Washington, DC and Jesse Leroy Jr. (Ronda) of Johnstown. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lester's memory to the American Cancer Society.
