She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony F. Schnaubelt and Alice Schnaubelt (Hammond); and her brother Tony Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Ron Smithmyer; her children, Brian (Jody Gibney) of Mechanicsburg, Angela Lambing (DJ) of Mundy's Corner and Sheila McKeta (Rob) of Jeffersonville; her grandsons, Corey, Andrew Smithmyer, Caleb, Wyatt Lambing, Taylor and Josh McKeta; her siblings, Mary Leininger (Barry) and Ed Schnaubelt (Patti); and her siblings-in-law, Doreen Beck (Dave) and Steve Smithmyer (Cindy). She is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital for she sponsored fund raising events during her teaching career.
