She was predeceased by: her parents, George F. Gerwick and Edith Milford Gerwick; her husband Charles C. Thompson; and her siblings, Gertrude Ritts (Trudy), Howard and Harold Gerwick.
She is survived by: her children, Melinda Hanrahan (Michael) of Winchester, VA., C. Ronald Thompson (Debbie) of Parker and Robert A. Thompson (Tammy) of Parker. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
