She was predeceased by: her spouse Willy Lai; and her son Harry. She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer Lai Bromley (Blair) of Deep River, Ontario, Constance Lai of Washington, DC and Helen Lai (Benjamin Tu) of Dallas, TX.; and her grandchildren, Eva and Evan Tu. She is also survived by two sisters, three brothers, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
