He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Dougherty and Margaret Mahoney Dougherty; his wife Grace; his stepdaughter Marlene; and his granddaughter Michele.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, John J. Durnin III (Aimee), Christine Deacon (Bob), Bridget Pastula (Matt) and Holly Merante (Terry); his great grandchildren, Chucky, Sasha, Bobby, Alex, Sophia, Stella, Gracie, Zachary and Maggie; his great great grandchild Riley; and his brother Thomas Dougherty Jr..
