He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Grandinetti and Serena "Sara" Colletta Mauro; his adoptive father Richard F. Hicks; his wife Mary Ann Hicks (Coopersmith); his son Matthew Hicks; and his sister Barbara Guinta.
He is survived by: his children, Evelyn Craig (Scott) of Easton, Donald C. Hicks, Jr. (Maureen) of Sarasota, FL and Bob Hicks (Irene) of State College; his daughter-in-law Mary Timm of Easton; his brother-in-law Ernest Guinta of Wilson Borough; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Alex, Laura, Will, Mary Bridget, Emmy and Claire.
