She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Gilkes and Marjorie Gilkes (Gaines); and her brother-in-law Kenneth B. Buie. She is survived by: her siblings, Victor H. Gilkes (Tamela) of Washington, DC and Beryl L. Buie of Richmond Hill, NY; and her niece Tiffany Bush Parler (Eric).
