He is survived by: his wife Indra Samaratunge; his son Sampath Samaratunge; his daughter-in-law Kinithi Weerasinghe of Hawthorne, NJ; his daughter Chamali Flagg; his son-in-law George Flagg; and his granddaughter Emma Flagg of East Stroudsburg, PA..
