She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Essigs and Ruth Essigs; her husband Michael Mickosawich; and her daughter Susan Williams. She is survived by: her children, Michael Mickosawich, Steven Mickosawich and Carol Simerson Diane Litts; her grandchildren, Leon Simerson, Marissa King, Frank Williams, Nicholas Williams and Nathaniel Litts; her great grandchildren, Cole Simerson and Jolene King; and her brother Charles Essigs. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice.
