It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Patricia Ann Merkel of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 11, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jake Dunlap and Ruth Dunlap (McPeak); and her siblings, Kenneth, Melvin Hammerstone, Gloria Miller and Nina Dodge.

She is survived by: her children, Daniel P. Merkel Jr. (Irma) of East Stroudsburg, Melvin Merkel (Amanda Margretta) of Lansford and Kerri Merkel of Stroudsburg. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
