He is survived by: his wife Kelly J. Williams; his parents, Carolyn Birmelin (Gorton) of Lake Ariel and Robert Birmelin (Jean) of Lake Ariel; his children, Morgan Legore (Jack) of Bethany and Grady Birmelin (Emma Keal) of Bethany; and his sisters, Tina Stratford (Bill), Suzanne Mormando (Joe) and Colleen Birmelin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In light of Mike's lifelong enthusiasm, love, and dedication to sports and the young athletes in this community, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Michael's memory to the "Michael C. Birmelin Youth Athlete Memorial Fund" c/o The Dime Bank, 820 Church Street, Honesdale, PA 18431.
