With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie C. Counterman of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 15, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Davenport and Grace Davenport; her stepfather Earl Wilson; and her siblings, Amelia Crombie, Nellie Williamson, Bellinda Davenport, James Davenport, Jodie Davenport and Rudy Wilson.
She is survived by: her significant other Paul Counterman; her children, Lydia Strunk (Daniel), Diane Perry and James Counterman; her stepdaughter Evelyn George; her grandchildren, Paul Perry, Daniel Strunk (Jennifer), Grace Perry, Jon Strunk (Susan), Cassandra Mesko (Erik) and James Counterman, Jr.; her stepgrandchildren, Necole Arrington and Richard George; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Mesko, Sophia Strunk and Eleanor Strunk; and her sisters, Joyce Tari (Steve) and Lillie Gillen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The donations will be used for the computer room at Shirley Futch.
