He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kanaley and Irma Kanaley (Reinhart); his daughter Kimberly Emery; and his siblings, Bob, Joe, Tom, Irma and May.
He is survived by: his daughter Irma Maher; his grandson Jonthan Maher; his sons, Kevin Kanaley (Maria), Keith Kanaley (Maria), Mark Kanaley (Donna), Richard Kanaley (Kim), John Kanaley Jr. (Carla) and Michael Kanaley (Joanne); and also, Sean and Theresa Romayo. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
