It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan M. Sommer (East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 30, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Irving "Itch" Sommer; her parents, Robert F. Melick and Alverna R. Melick (Frederick); and her daughters, Teri Sommer Hay and Debra Sommer McCormick.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Dustin McCormick (Cara) of East Stroudsburg and Lexi McCormick-Smith (Luke) of Bethlehem; her great grandchildren, Adalyn McCormick, Maelyn McCormick and Evelyn McCormick; and her son-in-law Albert McCormick of East Stroudsburg.
